Our Carbide

We use only the highest quality tungsten carbide in manufacturing our cutting tools. The material itself is a micro-grain carbide powder that has been blended with sub-micro carbide particles and cobalt powder that allows a very high-density rod to be pressed. The rod is then subjected to Hot Isostatic Pressing which applies heat and pressure, thereby eliminating any existing air pockets. The pressing produces a more uniform material, with finer grain size, and higher density. The resulting high quality material will produce tools with long wear characteristics, higher strength to reduce breakage, and allow better surface finishes.
